Web sites and resources for Sea Glass collectors, artists, crafts people and other enthusiasts.

With the advent of the Internet, sea glass (as an art medium) and sea glass collecting has enjoyed an explosion in popularity. This popularity has been further augmented by the societal trend towards recycling, reusing and "upcycling" used items-- and what is sea glass, but the ultimate in "recycling?"

There are now literally 1000's of web sites relating to sea glass. This page allows room to list just a few of the more significant and interesting ones.
North American Sea Glass Association (NASGA) is the primary organization for collectors and artists working with sea glass. NASGA hosts an annual Sea Glass Festival, drawing thousands of visitors from all over the world.

The North East Sea Glass Society was formed in 2009 and now has over 500 members. It is for sea glass collectors and enthusiasts living in the northeastern USA.

California Sea Glass Association is a California based organization dedicated to educating individuals about authentic sea glass and the importance of the conservation and preservation of our oceans.

The Sea Glass Journal is an online magazine and blog about all things relating to sea glass and beach combing.

Pure Sea Glass is the web site Richard LaMotte, author of the landmark book of the same name, regarded by most collectors as the "bible" of sea glass.
Connecting with fellow sea glass collectors and artists

Part of the fun of collecting sea glass come in connecting with other enthusiasts. Below are some of the more significant online forums where sea glass collectors get together to share stories, photos and discuss all things sea glass. Note: Most of these sites require a simple registration before you can participate.
Sea Glass Artists & Collectors Forum-- an online forum and social network that allows enthusiasts to come together for chat, discussion, picture sharing and interest groups. Currently has over 2900 members.

Sea Glass Lovers Forum-- the web's largest online forum (over 6000 members) for sea glass collectors and beach combers. Very active community; over 17,000 photos, discussions, interest subgroups and more.

NASGA Online Forum-- the North American Sea Glass Association's forum on the web; primarily for collectors; about 2400 members.

Sea Glass Artists & Collectors on Facebook-- a group on the Facebook social network; about 650 members/fans.
